Week in Review: Catherine Middleton, 6-12 February

Here's what Catherine Middleton wore the week of 6-12 February:

  1. Lunching with Camilla, 9 February, a) on Kate and b) from Diane von Furstenberg.
I've heard a lot of different opinions on this, ranging from "stylish" to "OMGGTGASASAP!" (Translation: OMG get this girl a stylist ASAP! I speak fluent acronym.) Me? I'm just...bored. Criminally boring, that's my verdict: same old makeup, hair worn down again, yet another dress, yet another jacket thrown on top, same old boots. At this point, I just want to see something different. Anything different will do, even if it's total fug. Et toi, my lovelies?

Week in Review: Princess Mathilde, 12-18 September

Here's what Princess Mathilde wore the week of 12-18 September:

  1. Attending a cancer symposium, 13 September, a) on Mathilde and b) from Diane von Furstenberg.  Fabulous dress, totally unfortunate shoes.  Yikes.
  2. Attending a function at the University of Leuven, 17 September.  Well, this one becomes the default best of the week because you know I can not abide by a bad shoe pairing.  Even if this one is...blah.
Update:  Here she is visiting the SOS Children's Village on 16 September:

Week in Review: Crown Princess Mary, 25-31 July

Here's what Crown Princess Mary wore the week of 25-31 July:
  1. Annual family photocall, 28 July.  This dress was last seen in public while Mary was pregnant with Isabella, so it's doomed to start speculation from now on.  I like it anyways.   UPDATE: And she's pregnant now!  With twins!!
  2. Horse riding lessons, 28 July.  I think this has to be one of the most unflattering lengths for shorts ever, but she's pulling it off.
  3. Visit to Legoland, 29 July.
  4. Watching the changing of the guard, 30 July.
Best and Worst of the Week
Mary's back in action, continuing vacation with the rest of the Danish royal family at GrĂ¥sten Slot.  I love the casual look she sported while watching the changing of the guard with the family - the cardigan, shoes and jeans are perfect, and the ruffled top adds just enough interest and femininity.  The visit to Legoland, on the other hand, is none of those things - it might not be so bad, but the army jacket throws everything off.

Month in Review: Crown Princess Pavlos and Tatiana Blatnik, June

Here's what 2 of the most stylish members of the Greek royal family wore in June:

Marie-Chantal, Crown Princess Pavlos
  1. King Constantine's 70th Birthday Party, 2 June.  The party was held at M-C and Pavlos's house, so there weren't any good pictures of her.  Can't see much here, but I like the hairdo.
  2. Diane von Furstenberg and Claridge's Launch Party in London, 23 June.
Tatiana Blatnik
  1.  King Constantine's 70th Birthday Party, 2 June.  This dress is Amanda Wakeley, see here.
  2. Arriving in Stockholm, 17 June.
  3. Private dinner at Drottninghom, 17 June, a) on the Andrew Gn runway and b) in Stockholm.
  4. Pre-wedding dinner and concert, 18 June.
  5. Crown Princess Victoria's Wedding, 19 June.  Obviously a custom design here, but you can see the similarities in the tone of the tulle and the floral embellishment with this dress, from Herrera's Fall 2010 RTW collection.
  6. Diane von Furstenberg and Claridge's Launch Party in London, 23 June.  I'm guessing this is DVF, on account of the function and the fact that Tatiana works for her.  We need more royals that work in the fashion industry.
Best and Worst of the Month
I read that Carolina Herrera is on the shortlist for making Tatiana's wedding gown, and I hope it's true!  Tatiana didn't put a foot wrong this month.  I love her already.  This frothy dress was just perfect for the Swedish wedding - not too much, not too little.  Marie-Chantal, on the other hand, wasn't enough at the DVF party.  The dress is plain, and I don't get the combo with the tan/brown shoes.  I'm disappointed we didn't see her at the wedding festivities; surely that would have been the sartorial high point of her month.

UPDATE:  Found another one for Tatiana - from Princess Madeleine's World Childhood gala on 30 June...
...and we have a miss.  I think this is Diane von Furstenberg.
